The Energy Chronicles

Happy New Year from The Energy Group

As 2016 comes to an end, we take the time to reflect on our accomplishments and look ahead to the coming year. Like many of you, we’ve come up with a few New Year’s Resolutions that will help us grow personally and professionally.

Affirm our commitment to healthy and sustainable practices

The Energy Group is committed to implementing and practicing sustainability measures, as stated in our Sustainability Commitment. In 2017 we plan on encouraging carpooling and utilizing mass transportation among staff to further our sustainability aims, and promoting health initiatives for our staff. These initiatives include biking to work and lunch-hour walks. According to the CDC, regular physical activity can help control weight, reduce the risk of certain cancers and diseases, and improve mental health, among other benefits. We want our staff to remain happy, healthy, and productive!

Host industry networking events

2017 is the year of networking! TEG looks forward to hosting monthly networking events for energy professionals, trade allies, or anyone who is just plain interested in energy efficiency! Whether its through lunch-n-learns, pub tours, or happy hour get-togethers, we want to get people excited about energy efficiency implementation. Stay tuned!

Make The Energy Group a great place to work and play

It is always a goal of company management to make sure employees stay engaged in the energy efficiency industry, but also that they engage with their co-workers and colleagues. This breeds a collaborative environment that can only help the company’s viability to its clients/customers. This will also build a culture where coming to work each and every day can be exciting, and even fun!

We look forward to a wonderful 2017! Happy New Year!
