Saving Money at Iowa’s Schools

TEG will be connecting with Iowa School Buildings and Grounds Association (ISBGA) members at the ISBGA Spring Conference this week. If you are attending, stop by and see us!

TEG has a long history of partnering with Iowa school districts to improve building performance, lower energy and maintenance costs, and improve comfort for students, staff, and faculty. For example, TEG has partnered with Des Moines Public Schools for more than 20 years, a district that has received Energy Star® Partner of the Year Award for the past eight years. We have also helped our school district clients implement energy efficiency programs for occupants as well as manage energy projects, from boiler replacements to lighting retrofits and more.

Partner With US

When school districts partner with us, they can save taxpayer dollars and make room in the operating budget for educational programming and teaching staff. Because energy bills are included in the general fund, energy savings can translate to saving a teacher or program. Savings associated with building improvements can be achieved via preventative maintenance, capital improvement projects, behavioral modifications, and with tweaks to existing equipment and controls.
